Activated alumina

Activated alumina is a porous, highly dispersed solid material with a large specific surface area, and its microporous structure has the characteristics required for catalysis, such as adsorption properties, large surface area, good stability, heat resistance, etc., so it is widely used in various fields, mainly in the following applications:
- Catalyst and catalyst carrier: Activated alumina can be used as catalyst or catalyst carrier for various chemical reactions, such as petrochemical, organic synthesis, environmental protection and other fields.
- Adsorbent: Due to its porosity and high specific surface area, activated alumina has a strong adsorption capacity and can be used for gas and liquid drying, decolorization, deodorization, purification, etc.
- Water purification agent: Activated alumina can be used as a water purification agent to remove impurities, heavy metal ions, organic matter, etc., in water to improve water quality.
- Defluorinator: Activated alumina is an effective defluorinator that can be used to treat drinking and industrial water with high fluorine content.
- Regenerant: In the production of hydrogen peroxide, activated alumina can be used as a regenerant to adsorb and decompose impurities in the production process to improve product quality and yield.
In addition, according to the specific application needs, activated alumina can also be used in other fields, such as desulfurization and denitrification, waste gas treatment. In general, activated alumina is a versatile compound that plays an important role in chemical industry, environmental protection, water treatment and other fields.
